This session will be delivered jointly by the NASUWT and Northern Education Trust, looking at some of the key issues around making schools as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic, and how unions and employers can work together to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for pupils and staff.
Wayne’s biog:
Wayne Bates is a National Negotiating Official for the NASUWT – the Teachers’ Union. His role includes negotiating with some of the largest multi-academy trusts and the Governments in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. He also has national oversight for Health and Safety. Previously Wayne taught Physics for 13 years in a large urban secondary school.
