The transition from primary school to secondary school can be a difficult time for students. Although many secondary schools have transition days, which are a great help, feedback from primary school leaders has been that this is not sufficient to enable students to feel confident in this important next step in their educational journey. In Autumn 2020 SLQ communicated with primary school leaders to liaise in producing a pilot programme to help develop the skills needed for students to have a smooth transition to the next stage of their educational journey.
