Doug’s biog:

Doug Melia has worked across a variety of challenging settings with children and adults, which adds experience to his presentations. Doug is a registered Expert Witness on the use of force, health and safety consultant and a Director of multiple international training organisations that reduce restrictive interventions & which promote safer ways for humans to hold other humans.

To date his work has taken him to Australian Juvenile training centres, the work he has done with the forensic services in Sydney was mentioned in a coronial inquest by Justice Health, he works training officers on cruise ships, refugee camps, at Police training centres and in Dutch penitentiaries. For the last fifteen his core business Safer Handling have delivered INSET sessions to schools.
