Andrew Sharp has worked in education for over 20 years and is currently Headteacher at Pear Tree Junior school in Derby. Andrew has transformed education at the school since joining in September 2017. When he arrived at the school, it was rated ‘Inadequate’ by Ofsted. Today, the school’s SAT scores are now approaching national expectations, parental engagement and attainment have risen by 35%, and the school is well on the way to being a ‘Good’ school. Andrew is also a Local Leader of Education and is passionate about using EdTech and outdoor learning to create a rich learning environment for the wonderful pupils at their school.
